Philipp Weishaupt made sure that the victory in Friday's 1.50m Prize of VBR at CHIO Aachen went to the hosts, when going to the top riding the 12-year-old gelding Lesson Peak (Lord Z x Cashandcarry).

With a time of 35.08 in the second phase of the competition, Weishaupt had plenty of room down to runner-up Yves Vanderhasselt (BEL) on Hetman Of Colors (Calvaro x Querlybet Hero) who followed in 36.97 seconds.

Laura Kraut (USA) finished third on Zeremonie (Cero x Quick Star) in 38.99, while Niels Bruynseels (BEL) was fourth on Jenson van´T Meulenhof Vagabond de la Pomme x Quidam de Revel) and Denis Nielsen (GER) fifth on Carlo (Clearway x Roderik).
