Poland's own Jarosław Skrzyczyński and Chacclana (Chacco-Blue x Capilano) won Sunday's CSI4-W Grand Prix competition of Cavaliada Poznań in great style.

Fifty pairs entered the Grand Prix competition for the PKO BP award held under the patronage of the President of Poznań. Thirteen of them produced clears ober the first round track, which was technically demanding. The fight in the jump-off was fierce, and the leader board changed several times. The Poles proved the best ones. Jarosław Skrzyczyński and Chacclana were the fastest and made it in the quickest time: 34.54 seconds. Michał Kazimierczak on Stakorado (Stakkato Gold x Acorado) followed close behind in 35.20.

“The course was worthy of Grand Prix level," commented the winner after. "Thirteen competitors entered the jump-off. What more can be said here; the qualifying round was quite difficult and only the best ones made it, so it wasn't possible for only two or three riders to complete the course without any mistakes. Now Chacclana will have a well-deserved rest, and then we will begin the preparations for the next stage of our road to the World Cup Final, i. e. Cavaliada in Warsaw, where the final of the Central European League will be held. I hope to get a good result there and make it to the World Cup Final in Gothenburg,” said Skrzyczyński, who has had a very successful season in 2018.

“Ahead of the Grand Prix I was a little nervous because I didn't know exactly how we would do. It is a great mare and today she performed great. This is my first time in Poland and before coming here I did not know what to expect. When I went to the main arena for the first time, I was very surprised by what it was like. During the competitions the audience was amazing, people were cheering to the rhythm of music and it was so nice to ride here. If the other locations are like Poznań, I will certainly return to the full Cavaliada Tour," said the German representative Rupert Carl Winkelmann, who took the third place on Deep Blue Bridge S (VDL Zirocco Blue x Ahorn).
