The 23-year-old Dutch rider Kevin Jochems was awarded as 2018 KNHS Talent of the Year on Saturday afternoon. The award ceremony took place at the CSI5*-W event Jumping Amsterdam, in the presence of Anky van Grunsven, ambassador of the KNHS Talent Plan, and Marlies van Baalen who won the first Talent of the Year award twenty years ago.
Jochems, who works for Leon Thijssen in Sevenum, Netherlands, had a great 2018 winning the CSIO5* Grand Prix competitions at Hickstead and Dublin with Captain Cooper – really making his mark among the senior riders.
