The Brazilians were the best in Friday's two FEI Longines Ranking classes at the Sunshine Tour.
The 1.50m Big Tour class sponsored by the hotel chain Hipotels saw Brazilian rider Pedro Junqueira and his 12-year-old mare C’est Dorijke (Argentinus x Burggraaf) at the top of the leaderboard after a 16-horse jump-off. Hot on his heels, 0.21 seconds behind, was Angelie Von Essen (SWE) riding Cochella (Cartani 4 x Lord). In third place came Omer Karaevli (TUR) on Roso au Crosnier (Looping D'Elle x Odin de la Cense).
The 1.45m Longines Ranking class went to the successful pair Pedro Veniss and Anaya Ste Hermelle (Andiamo x Paladin des Ifs). Pedro and this mare have proven that their partnership works to perfection with a total of four wins during this Tour, and they were almost two seconds faster than Luca Moneta (ITA) and Amethyste du Coty (Diamant de Semilly x Quidam de Revel). Third place went to Holly Smith and Fruseli (Zambesi x Karandasj).
