The showing season is just around the corner and you haven’t got the right sport partner in your stable yet? Don’t waste any more time and have a look at the current lots for sale at the Holsteiner Spring Auction held on 14 April.

It is a great opportunity with more than 40 promising young talents selected for you by the Holsteiner Verband marketing and auction GmbH team round new executive director Roland Metz. And there are horse to suit every taste and need. In addition to four- through seven-year-old riding horses well suited to satisfy ambitious amateurs as well as many international jumping and eventing riders, the lot comprises a small but choice selection of ten three-year-olds to be presented free jumping exclusively. As usual, the horses have been preselected, vet-checked and come with an age-appropriate level of training. “These are quality horses without exception and it has come as a pleasant surprise that our offer includes very interesting three-year-olds as well as some jumping horses ready to be shown by our customers right away“, Roland Metz is happy to state.

The auction candiates have moved into their Elmshorn box stalls. A first glance at their pedigrees reveals an interesting and broad range of bloodlines has been selected again. From the Baloubet du Rouet-son Barcley, himself trained and produced at the stable of Christian Hess, through for example Christian, already a proven sport horse, to sires like Uriko, Dinken, Quiwi Dream and Cachas, stallions earning more and more of a reputation for their successful offspring. Not to forget the stallions speaking for themselves like Vagabond de la Pomme, Cassini I, Clarimo, Cellestial, Corrado I, Toulon, and of course Casall and his sons.

And in line with good Holstein tradition, attention has also been given to the auction horses‘ dam lines, with the marketing team selecting numerous horses from very interesting families. Take for example four-year-old Companion by Companiero. His third dam is no other than the dam of the licensed stallions Cesano I and II and Ringo Star; moreover, she has also produced seven successful sport horses, including Conally and Crocodile Dandy, two high-achievers under the saddle of Markus Renzel. By the way, this direct dam line has also produced Kira, dam to Casall.

And the three-year-old group comprises a half sister to a vice National Champion: We are talking about Cocobeach by Christian-Cassini I. Bred to Cormint, her dam produced Dorotheental’s Canela, last year’s silver medallist in the five-year-old eventing horse division in Warendorf. According to Roland Metz, “some of the three-year-old diamonds in the rough would never have been up for sale on the free market“.

So, what are you waiting for? The future starts now. The auction horses are ready to go and the upcoming showing season is about to kick off. All you need to do now is pick a suitable sport partner and you are ready to start. The Holsteiner Verband marketing and auction GmbH team is looking forward to welcoming you.
