When Casall turned 20-years-old on the 13th of April, the Holsteiner Verband organised a party for him. People from near and far attended the celebration and Casall’s whole team was there to wish him a happy birthday.
While Casall was posing for the cameras and everyone present, those who have been a big part of his life got to tell their story and as it seems he hasn’t changed very much over the years. Casall always knew what he wanted, and he still does.
Sharing their stories were Wilfried Thomann – Casall’s breeder, Reimer Hennings and Dieter Mehrens – who brought Casall up and made him ready for the stallion presentation, Norbert Boley – Executive Director of the Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH and who played a big part in Casall ending up with the Holsteiner Verband, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson – Casall’s rider, Celia Rijntjes – Casall’s show groom, Bo Kristoffersen – Rolf’s business partner during Casall’s time, Dr. Brigitte Otto – home veterinarian, Jonas Tornell – previous team veterinarian for Sweden, George Oduro – Casall’s osteopath, Christine Broda – Casall’s current groom, Henning Reimers – Casall’s current rider and Gerard Muffels – manager of the stallion stable who knows Casall since he was two years old.
Prior to the celebration, the Holsteiner Verband gave away 20 wooden horses to 20 different kinder gardens as a part of the project “Pferde für unsere Kinder” (“Horses for our kids”). In return, the kids send in drawings and paintings and this art work was used as decoration in the indoor where the party took place.
