Press release from Sacramento International
Sunday morning at Sacramento International started with the $25,000 iJump Sports Open Jumper Classic, part of the GGT Footing Grand Prix Series, and 31 starters tackled the course in the GGT Footing Indoor Arena at Murieta Equestrian Center.
Ten entries came back for the jump off, but Ashlee Bond put in a round that no one could catch aboard Belo Horizonte, an 11-year-old bay Holsteiner gelding owned by Little Valley Farms.
"It's been kind of an up and down journey with Belo," said Bond. "But he's so quick across the ground and in the air, he makes my job really easy and you don't have to think about the rails because he's so careful... He always comes out trying 150%."
In second place was Richard Fellers aboard Ninou 2, and rounding out third place was Karl Cook and E'Special.
