Beezie Madden has added an exciting new prospect to her string of horses with the arrival of the 5-year-old Kickstart II, a half-brother to her top horse Garant (Warrant x Verdi TN). Kickstart II is out of C’est la vie – also Garant’s mother, and by the stallion I’m Special de Muze – a son of Emerald, and is Dutch bred by André and Ilse Bosch. Kickstart II also has a twin called Kickstart I, that is still with her breeders preparing for her sports career.

“I would like to thank Johan Heins for finding Kickstart for us and Abigail Wexner for making it possible for us to have him,” Madden comments to WoSJ. “We have only had him a couple of days, but we have high hopes for him. So far, he seems to have an excellent brain as does Garant. I am excited to work with him.”

Garant – now 9 – has had huge success with Madden. Last year, the two won the prestigious Sparkassen Youngster Cup Final at CHIO Aachen as well as the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ in North Salem, New York. With Willem Greve in the saddle, Garant won gold at FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships for 5-year-old horses in 2016.
