It’s love at first sight.

What a beautiful squaw!

Five year old Pocahontas has notched up more than 20 placings in young horse classes up to 1.25m, 60% of them first, second or third – including five wins in 1.05m and 1.15m classes with regular high eights scores. She also competed in the final of this year’s DKB Bundeschampionat, the German National Championships for Young Horses, after a very impressive round in the qualifier.

This graceful black lady is an alert horse with a very positive attitude, quick and light-footed over jumps, and a beautiful ride to boot. Bringing on this elegant ebony mare will be a real pleasure for any rider. Her perfectly balanced jump, good bascule and technique all underscore her qualities as an excellent prospect.

Pocahontas’ genetic make-up is an extravagant combination of Hanoverian sport horse genes. Her ultra-modern sire Perigueux is a perfectionist whose offspring tend to inherit his amazing scope, technique and bascule. He also had a remarkable international show jumping career as Eva Bitter’s top Grand Prix horse, winning the German Championships with her in 2013. As a sire Perigueux is already high up on the FN Breeding Stallion Index for sires of young horses. Many of his offspring are currently competing at three-star level, confirming this stallion’s exceptional quality. Perigueux’s sire, Perpignon by Pilot, is one of the star stallions at the Celle State Stud.

Pocahontas’ dam sire Escudo I passes on his excellent jumping abilities, performance genes and winning attitude to his offspring. Escudo I has been one of the leading German stallions in the breeding index for many years and he has produced top show jumpers in series.

The Hanoverian blood of Grand Ferdinand, another top sire, also features in the pedigree.

Successful relatives include Prinz und Embassy II (Hans-Dieter Dreher), Peter Pan (Hendrik von Eckermann), Perry KHR (Richard Vogel) and Papa Roach (Victoria Gulliksen).

Classic elegance with distinctive flair.
