Manage and organise the day to day care of fit, competition horses that travel nationally and internationally to showjumping competitions.

Duties include:-

* Overseeing/Supervision of junior staff members

* Organising packing of equipment for shows

* Maintaining yard standards

* Mucking out

* Feeding

* Monitor horses health

* Dealing with vets,farriers.

* Administering medication

* Grooming

* Lunging

* Bandaging

* Clipping

* Plaiting

* Tack cleaning

At shows must be able to work in time efficient manner, manage own time and work to deadlines and organise other staff effectively.

Additional tasks at shows include:-

* Making sure horses at competition arena on time.

* Monitoring feed stocks.

* Checking class timings.

* Monitoring horses health.

* Being aware of anti - doping requirements.

* Turning horses out to high standard

* Managing other staff/grooms

Ideally the right candidate will have experience in all of the above.

Accommodation is available with the job, but unfortunately no pets or own horses.

5.5/6 day week, pay is dependent on age and experience.

HGV would be a bonus but not essential.

Being a team player and having good people skills and previous supervisor skills are essential.
