The team at Vlock Show Stables is excited to announce the purchase of Amsterdam 27 (Catoki x Acord II) to be seen under Israel’s Teddy Vlock.

“We’re really excited to add such a talented horse to our string as a part of Vlock Show Stables. Not only is it really strengthening my string as an individual rider, but also bringing even more talent to the Israeli team. Both of those were really important factors in our decision to acquire the horse,” commented Vlock.

The 2010 Holsteiner gelding, Amsterdam 27, was previously under the saddle of Canada’s Mario Deslauriers, garnering notable accomplishments up through the CSI5* level. Consistently delivering clear rounds throughout the summer, Amsterdam 27 showcased his team experience as a valuable member of the Canadian show jumping team at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games.

Vlock is strengthening his string of horses at a pivotal time of year for both his team at Vlock Show Stables and for Team Israel. With the 2021 season ahead, Vlock has his sights set on the Nations Cup during Week 8 of the Winter Equestrian Festival and kicking off the season in the Global Champions League (GCL) with the Scandinavian Vikings.

“My personal goals for this year are to go as far as we can with each and every horse we have here. More specifically, our larger goals this season focus around the Nations Cup events as well as the GLC team this summer. I think Amsterdam will be a great horse for both of those goals,” said Vlock.

Vlock, also a student at Yale University, experienced an immensely successful competition year throughout 2020. Making his Nations Cup team debut during the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ USA CSIO5* at the Palm Beach Masters for Team Israel, Vlock rode to two solid rounds aboard Volnay Du Boisdeville (Winning Mood x Jalisco B). His year continued with top results after spending the summer series in Traverse City, Michigan where he placed in multiple grand prix classes.

“Teddy had a really great year and we’re excited for the 2021 season. He has a fantastic team behind him at Vlock Show Stables and we’re all really looking forward to seeing him in the show ring with Amsterdam this season. I think they are a good fit and will accomplish some great things.” commented trainer and World No. 8 Darragh Kenny.
