The aim of this exceptional auction is to support the stallion suppliers in their communication and selling process. As a buyer, this is an opportunity for you to acquire the coverings or straws of the greatest European stallions with no reserve price and without sales fees.

Ekestrian reiterates their support for the charity project Horse & Hope, a project born from the initiative of Gaëtan Decroix in 2020, a Belgian professional rider and breeder established in Normandy. The aim of the association is to support the fight against cancer by raising funds for research. Last year, thanks to the generosity of the stallion suppliers and bidders, the auction raised €34 000 for the fight against cancer.

This auction will put up for auction a panel of coverings and straws, all the benefits of those will be donated to the Horse & Hope charity. Dedicated lots will be clearly indicated by the green Horse & Hope logo on the display image of the lot.

You will also find the specific Ekestrian Stallions lots, 10% of which will be donated to the same major project. 

Finally, among the exceptional selection of coverings and straws, generously offered by stallion suppliers, you will discover this year in the catalogue a MARIE MAS jewel which will be auctioned. This jewel, worth 3000 euros, has been selected by the jury consisting of Gaëtan Decroix, Claire-Aline Quantin and Marie Cabirou. The highest bid will also be donated 100% to the charitable foundation.

Horse & Hope, a big-hearted charity project in support of the fight against cancer:

Professional rider for 15 years, Gaëtan Decroix has himself fought the disease twice in the last five years. He knows better than anyone that we can be cured of this disease. However, many cancers remain difficult, if not impossible to cure. Today, this disease affects 17.5 million people worldwide, so unfortunately more and more of us are affected by this scourge, which is the second leading cause of death on the planet. There is therefore an urgent need to support science in order to hope for a definitive cure for all the many forms of this complex disease.

The partnership between Ekestrian and MARIE MAS led by women is the result of a synergy of values, based on support and friendship between the founders Claire-Aline Quantin (founder and CEO of Ekestrian) and Marie Cabirou (founder and creative director of MARIE MAS). United by the values of excellence, high quality and innovation, these international brands were born out of courage and genuine dedication to something they strongly believe in.

Gaëtan started out as a business relation in the horse world and then became a friend. I was deeply moved by his story, his courage and tenacity, and at the same time several friends and family members were touched by cancer. When he told me about his project, Horse & Hope and the association linked to it, I automatically felt invested in helping him, and I deeply believed that our technology and methods could make a significant contribution to his project.

The auction will take place 100% online and will start on Tuesday, 16th February at 11am (French time) and will close lot by lot, minute by minute on Wednesday, 17th February at 9pm (French time).
