Standing out with a catalog of proven Grand Prix horses, young Grand Prix prospects, amateur horses, hunters and equitation horses, European Select Auction pushes the concept of an online auction further than ever before, by bringing the horses to The United States of America, to fully meet the needs of any rider.

The knowledgeable and demanding American show jumping players are making the European market their preferred destination for choosing their best horses.

Unfortunately, the global pandemic crisis has disrupted the normal travel habits and therefore also disrupted the American riders, coaches and support team from finding their next horse in Europe.

If the riders can’t come to Europe - the horses should go to America.

This was the idea behind European Select Auction, developed by Sharn Wordley and Steve Tinti.

Sharn Wordley has years of experience in the show jumping arena himself, having competed in numerous Nations Cups, Grand Prixs and World Cups. He has been part of the American circuit for many years and knows exactly what the American riders look for in a horse.

”A lot of riders in America, travel to Europe to find their horses, as there is a completely different market over there. With all the restrictions, Steve and I have found a concept, that brings proven Grand Prix horses, young Grand Prix prospects, amateur horses and hunters together in one place: European Select Auction!” says Sharn Wordley.

Despite his young age, Steve Tinti has more than 15 years of experience in the field of horse business and has been the head of his trading stable, ST Stables, for almost 10 years.

“Due to all the current travel restrictions set in place, my longtime partner Sharn and I, had the idea of bringing carefully selected horses from Europe to America. Our catalog consists of 12 horses, including Grand Prix horses, with international results up to 1m60, Grand Prix prospects, amateur horses, hunters and equitation horses. All the horses have proven results on their respective levels and have been strictly vetted for the American market,” says Steve Tinti.

Drawing on their respective experience, they wanted to create the perfect selection for the American market. The new concept was to bring the horses to the riders, but the selection had to be perfect, no room to go wrong and fly an average horse to Florida. After a strict selection, 12 exceptional horses make up the catalog of this “Ocala-Wellington” edition of European Select Auction.

Among the stars of this selection, you will find horses like Caretoo.

Caretoo has got the quality and the competitive nature you seek for a successful sport horse: The athletic 9-year-old has plenty of FEI experience and has already competed in his first 1.45m Grand Prix competitions. Caretoo is very intelligent and knows his job, making him very suitable for many different riders.

You can also find horses like Baltimoree, a 10-year-old gelding with lots of FEI experience in the show jumping arena. He stands out for his fantastic mentality and effortless way of jumping. Baltimoree has already got experience up to international 1.45m-level and was placed multiple times in FEI competitions.

Another jumper is Fabio van’t Hagenhof Z. The now 10-year-old gelding already performed at FEI 1.55m-level. With his endless scope and power, Fabio van’t Hagenhof Z is all set to compete successfully on the American Circuit.

You will also find the gorgeous grey hunter, Vecario. With his fantastic looks, lovely balanced canter and excellent jumping technique, Vecario is a promising hunter prospect. Combining this with his mentality and scope, Vecario could also become a successful derby hunter in the future.

All 12 horses underwent extensive pre-purchase veterinary checks before leaving Europe and were clinically checked, upon their arrival in Florida.

All the horses are available for trials in Ocala until the 27th of February and in Wellington from the 28th of February until the 8th of March.

The European Select Auction will be held online March 6th to 8th. All the information concerning the auction, the horses, vet checks, videos etc, can be found on the website of European Select Auction. www.europeanselect.auction.
