Thank you Cold Play!

Thank you

Last week, Fredrik Jönsson announced that his top horse Cold Play (Contendro I x Argentinus) had passed away. Having returned home from the Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain, the 13-year-old gelding was quarantining when he broke his leg during a lunge and sadly had to be put to sleep.

Jönsson developed Cold Play from the youngster classes all the way up to championship level. The pair represented Sweden at two major championships: At the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon (USA), and at the 2019 European Championships in Rotterdam (NED). From Tryon, they brought home team silver and were the best Swedish pair – placing 8th individually. In 2019, the two were part of the winning Swedish team in the CSIO5* Nations Cup in Rome and ended third in the CSIO5* Longines BHS King George V Cup at Hickstead. The year before, they won the CSI3* Grand Prix in Vejer de la Frontera – just to mention some of their many successes.

With this photo special, we remember Cold Play.
