At The Dutch Masters, Gudrun Patteet (BEL) and Sea Coast Monalisa van’t Paradijs (Bamako de Muze x Emerald) ended Sunday’s CSI5* 1.45m accumulator class against the clock on a full score with the quickest time to take the win in Borek Prize. Patteet shaved 2.78 seconds off the time to beat, set by Christian Ahlmann (GER) and Calvino 16 (Castelan II x Literat 12) to push them down to second place.

“My mare is a very quick horse, so I just tried to go really fast. I knew that Christian was in the lead and he is always fast, but I didn’t see watch his round so I didn’t know exactly how quick he was,” Patteet explained after her win.

“Monalisa is 9-years-old now and I’ve ridden her since she was six. She is born at our neighbour’s place, so I think they will be really proud. She is only getting better and better and she always been really competitive, so she is a really nice horse to have on my team,” Patteet said about her winning horse Sea Coast Monalisa van’t Paradijs.

Third place went to Kim Emmen (NED) with Warriors Glory (Warrior x Caretino Glory) ahead of Bryan Balsiger (SUI) with Everest v’t Hof V Eversem Z (Epleaser van’t Heike x Concreto) and Leopold van Asten (NED) with VDL Groep Elegant Hero Z (Echo van’t Spieveld x Diamant de Semilly).
