Thursday's feature class at the CSIO3*-W Longines EEF Series semi-final in Budapest was the 1.45m competition against the clock presented by the Ministry of Human Capacities. Fifty horse-and-rider combinations lined up, with the 30 best riders earning Grand Prix qualification.

The course was definitely difficult, with riders and horses having to work hard for a clear round.
For a long time it seemed that a Swiss trio would top the podium, as Aurelia Loser on Anaba Haize (Ravage de Mars x C Indoctro II), Edouard Schmitz on Babylone des Erables (Chai D x Kashmir van het Schuttershof) and Romain Duguet on Bel Canto de Boguin (Grenat de Grez HN x Arpege Pierreville) were confidently in the lead. However, the French rider Severin Hillereau on Quidam's Grey Lady (Quidam's Rubin x Eiger I) was able to intervene and take the third place in the last minute.
