The United States’ Olivia Chowdry continued her winning ways Sunday morning, taking top honors and setting the pace in the MLSJ $36,600 Groulx Family 1.45m Grand Prix CSI2*. Chowdry piloted Chuck Berry 8, Atlas Holding LLC’s 14-year-old Hanoverian gelding, to a clear jump-off of 33.21 seconds. Following closely behind for second place with a 33.52 second jump-off were Grace Debney (GBR) aboard Boheme De La Roque, owned by Temple Equestrian LLC. Jessica Mendoza (GBR) landed in third place with her own Dublin, clearing the jump-off course in a quick 34.07 seconds to round out the podium.

Australia’s Katie Laurie continues to maintain her leading position on the 2021 CaptiveOne Advisors Open Jumper Rider Bonus leaderboard with a total of 42 points she garnered after a successful Traverse City Spring Horse Show series. Karl Cook (USA) sits in the second place position on a total of 37 points after his win in the $137,000 Staller Grand Prix CSI3* during the final week of Traverse City Spring Horse Show, and another victory in last week’s $137,000 Meijer Grand Prix CSI3*. After consistent top placings throughout the first three weeks of the GLEF series thus far, King has moved his way up the leaderboard, overtaking Foster to sit in the third position on a total of 28 points. Offering show jumping competitors the chance to accumulate points throughout the 12-week Traverse City Horse Shows series, the bonus is awarded to the athlete with the most points at the conclusion of the 2021 $230,000 American Gold Cup Grand Prix CSI5*, presented by CaptiveOne Advisors. The CaptiveOne Advisors Open Jumper Rider Bonus is a highly sought-after prize among the field of international competitors that attend Traverse City Horse Shows.

Competition at the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, presented by CaptiveOne Advisors, will continue Tuesday, July 27, kicking off Week IV of GLEF with the popular ‘Equitation Tuesday’ events. Show jumping competition will resume Wednesday, July 27, at Flintfields Horse Park.
