About 35 horses belong to the collection of the third Winter-Chance, which will close the Holsteiner auction year 2021 on December 12th. In the past two years, this event has established itself as the ideal platform for rough diamonds for self-training, but horses that have already been ridden, some with competition successes, have also made it into the selection.

For example, catalogue number 1, Quintheo R by Quintero-Casall: The six-year-old has already been placed in jumping competitions up to 1.10 metres and his full brother, Theo, was successful on the international stage under Dirk and Hannes Ahlmann. Other top athletes with placings up to 1.50 metres come from the direct dam line of this large-framed black bay. With catalogue number 12, Mitchell by Million Dollar-Uriko, another offer with sporting ambitions is presented: The gelding of the 2018 crop descends from a mare and stallion dam that was successful in jumping up to 1.20 metres herself: Zuccarello by Zuccero, who was recently licensed in Neumünster, is his half-brother. His granddam also produced the licensed and highly decorated Crunch by Clarimo, who competed up to 1.60 metres. The Livello-Newton daughter Livella Blue (catalogue number 8), for example, descends from a dam who was successful in show jumping competitions herself and who also produced several highly decorated offspring up to 1.45 m level. The three-year-old descends from the direct dam line of the Olympic Champion Dobel's Cento by Capitol I (Otto Becker/GER). Catalogue number 20 presents himself as a compact jumper with Coolio by Casall-Clarimo: This stallion of the 2019 crop has a successful dam whose mare family produced, among others, the licensed Calico by Cassini I.

Online Auction - Bids as of 9 December

Originally planned as a hybrid auction, the Holsteiner Winter Chance on 12 December will be held online on the holsteiner.auction portal due to the current Corona developments. Managing Director and Auction Manager Roland Metz and his team have decided to do this. "However, the presentation of the auction candidates on 12 December from about 10 a.m. onwards will take place as planned - namely in compliance with the 2G regulations - in the heated Fritz Thiedemann Hall in front of the public," Metz explained. First, the younger horses will be shown in free running and free jumping, followed by the already ridden offers, which will complete a short course and can be tried out afterwards. For all those who cannot be on site, ClipMyHorse.tv will broadcast live. The auction portal, where you can easily register before the auction begins, will be opened for the first bids on 9 December from 12 noon, and on 12 December from 3 p.m. the bidding will begin with the so-called bid-up.

The entire collection with pedigrees, photos and video material can be viewed at holsteiner.auction. Roland Metz (phone: +49 171 4364 651, e-mail: rmetz@holsteiner-verband.de) will be happy to answer all questions about the auction and of course about the horses themselves.
