British Equestrian, in collaboration with British Showjumping, is looking to further develop and enhance the knowledge, skills and expertise of its performance team through the engagement of a Technical Expert. 

Working with the Showjumping Performance Manager the purpose of the role of the Technical Expert (TE) will be to provide technical support, and to check and challenge decision making around strategy and selection. In addition, the TE will collaborate with the Performance Manager to ensure the selection criteria and objectives of the relevant Selection Policy are applied and fulfilled and may be asked to attend selection meetings to input their expert knowledge. The role will take approximately three days a month, and in most cases will be in the form of virtual meetings but may include attendance at identified key competitions and or Team Training. This will be renumerated role with expenses covered by agreement.

The term of the appointment will start early 2022 and cover the 2024 Paris Olympiad. The position will be reviewed post Paris Olympic Games.
