The global fantasy sports market is expected to reach $38.60 billion in 2025. The sports data analytics industry is estimated to value $4 billion by the end of 2022. So, where does show jumping fit in?

To date, show jumping has not had an established deep sports data analytics framework, nor any gaming solutions. That’s why Olympic silver medalist Lucy Davis is unveiling “Prixview” to be the leading sports data provider and the industry’s first-ever modern fantasy sports platform.

“I look at show jumping, and there’s so much potential to have a massive audience devoted to the sport, the riders, and the horses—but we lack that level of engagement right now,” Davis said. “I created Prixview to help grow and engage the sport’s audience.”

In Prixview’s fantasy games, users select which horse/rider combination in the matchup will place higher in the class. The less likely the combination is to place higher—based on data—the greater the reward, which comes in the form of fantasy points earned if your selection wins the matchup. Points from correct selections are tallied and ranked against all entries. Games are free to play, with real cash prizes awarded. An international selection of classes and games are offered throughout the week at Prixview.com/fantasy.

The introduction of gaming in other sports has already proven that fans consume 40% more sports content across all media once they start playing fantasy sports. The aim is to bridge the gap between show jumping and other sports, which will not only engage and educate fans and stakeholders in new ways, but also create new revenue streams for the sport.

“It’s great to have the games up and running,” said international Israeli show jumper Sydney Shulman Desiderio. “It helps us connect with fans on a deeper level and will help educate people about our sport and athletes.”

There’s infinite room for growth, as Prixview expands its data collection. The company is logging never-before-published data, breaking down faults for athletes, horses and horse/rider combinations. Prixview’s data points will offer insight not only into clear round percentages, but also into more intricate details relating to the point of contact on rails, lead strength, surface, venue, fence type and more. Prixview’s data journalists log the information in real time, and data points can be viewed live during international competitions worldwide.

The premises are simple: The numbers don’t lie, and knowledge is power. Prixview’s data points will be interpreted into valuable insight for athletes to analyze and improve performance; for broadcasters to identify meaningful trends on air; and for leagues and federations to educate and grow their fan bases, preserve the integrity of sport, and open the door for new modernization and monetization opportunities. The fast-paced industry of sports gaming creates significant opportunities for all verticals and players in the industry.

“I want to create lucrative opportunities for every member of this industry and believe data and gaming is the way to get it done,” Davis said. “It’s working in nearly every other sport, so we have great roadmaps to follow.”
