Count Me In gets a hug from Conor Swail after finishing 8th overall at the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final 2022 in Leipzig, Germany. "I am very happy. It is a nice way to finish up the week. I thought the horse was fabulous all week and I am leaving the show very very pleased," Swail said.

We look back at Sunday's last two rounds of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final 2022 in Leipzig, which were full of action and emotions.

22-year-old Harry Charles did his first World Cup™ Final, jumping Stardust in the first speed leg, then Romeo 88 in the following competitions, and impressed when ending 4th overall.

Final adjustments from Michael Whitaker for his 20-year-old son Jack, who impressed with Equine America Valmy de la Lande – finishing 5th. The 13-year-old stallion did not touch a pole throughout the five rounds he jumped.

Richard Vogel congratulates David Will, who was double clear in Sunday's final rounds to finish 6th overall with C Vier.

Misti Cassar was very happy after jumping with only two time penalties in the last round of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final 2022 aboard Mylord Cornet.

Marcus Ehning retired Calanda, and left the ring disappointed.

Living legend: Thumbs up from 66-year-old John Whitaker, who finished 12th overall with Equine America Unick du Francport. 

Jos Verlooy and Luciano van het Geinsteide jumped a clear in Sunday's first round, and ended 10th overall. 

Denis Lynch's powerful Cristello jumped clear in Sunday's second round, and the pair finished 15th overall.

A happy Geir Gulliksen, who had only a time penalty in Sunday's first round with the incredible 16-year-old VDL Groep Quattro.

Mclain Ward came in as the overnight leader, but did not have luck on his side. One pole fell in round one, and then another two in the second round, dropping him and Contagious down to 7th overall.

Hunter Holloway's Pepita Con Spita charmed everyone in Leipzig.

A big smile from the best home rider: David Will and C Vier finished 6th overall. "My horse jumped fantastically today. You have a really good feeling when you ride in here, the spectator stands are full. The spectators are really cheering along, it was fun," Will said. 

Philipp Schulze Topphoff did his first World Cup™ Final, and finished 17th overall with Concordess NRW.

Equine America Valmy de la Lande crossing the finish line. "I am completely ecstatic, the horse jumped fantastic," Jack Whitaker said about his fantastic performances in Leipzig. 

Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli impressed in the final two rounds on Sunday, and only picked up two time penalties in the first round with the feisty Kalinka van de Nachtegaele. "I am incredibly happy, the course was great and my horse jumped unbelievably!" Augustsson Zanotelli said after her last round in Leipzig.

Gerrit Nieberg impressed with good riding aboard Ben, finishing 13th overall after great rounds in Leipzig.

Showjumping fans were happy to finally watch the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final 2022, after two years of cancellations due to Covid-19 and EHV-1.
