It was an emotional Cassandra Orschel who won the 91st Hamburg Jumping Derby, as the first female rider to do so since 1975. Orschel and Dacara E made light work out of the difficult and long course, to only get four faults on the upright that followed just after the derby bank. In a jump-off against three others, Orschel delivered the only clear to take the victory in the derby. The tears of joy started already over the finish line in the first round, continued after the jump-off and during the prize giving.
A well-deserved win and a huge congratulations to Team Orschel!

Cassandra couldn't even leave the course after the lap of honour before she was snatched by her friends to get the traditional bath in the open water.
Below you can follow Cassandra Orschel and Dacara E around most of the fences of the demanding Derby course. A course that stays the same year after year.
