Niels Kersten (NED) and the 11-year-old gelding Grieg S (Indoctro x Kenwoo) won Friday's feature class in Gijon, Spain, the CSI4* 1.50, Trofeo Fundación Caja Rural. 

Twelve of the 39 horse-and-rider combinations in the class made it to the jump-off, where the top four managed to deliver another clear round. Fastest was Kersten, in 44.56 seconds, followed by Anthony Condon (IRL) and SFS Vincomte (Veni Vidi Vici x Magic Darco) with a time of 46.14. Lionel Huc (FRA) and Bonjour d'Iberia (Kannan x Le Tot de Semilly) took the third place, when stopping the clock at 46.43 seconds, while Olivier Perreau (FRA) on GL Events Dorai d'Aiguilly (Kannan x Toulon) finished fourth and Mans Thijssen (NED) on Hello (Alano x Nabab de Reve) fifth.
