Angelstone Events has always been known for hosting their staple Super Saturday Grand Prix under the lights, but #weownthenight took a whole new meaning at this year’s edition of Major League Show Jumping in Toronto. 

As the venue opened its doors to The League riders for the second season of Major League Show Jumping, it also welcomed back it’s ever-growing fan base of show jumping enthusiasts who filled all sides of the BFL Stadium creating an electric concert-like atmosphere. Following the first round of competition, the all-inclusive halftime show unified ticket holders of all levels from VIPs to free admission to riders and personnel surrounding the arena creating an outstanding light and music performance where the crowd came together as one and became the star of the show. 

Above and beyond the “out of the ordinary” entertainment and an extravagant world class culinary experience, there was show jumping. 

The Friday Night feature class, saw team Helios formed by Mark Bluman (COL), Sydney Shulman (ISR) and Simon McCarthy (IRL) clinch the hat trick win over Team Crusaders (Nick Dello Joio, Hunter Holloway, Callie Schott). The ever-exciting team format brings a whole new and exciting event to North America, raising the bar of show jumping as a whole while challenging team strategy, speed, scope and peer pressure. 

Thrilling sport and entertainment continued onto Saturday night for the 5* $214,300 Kubota Canada Grand Prix where Daniel Bluman stood on top of the podium followed by Kristen Vanderveen and home favorite Erynn Ballard.
