In Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, the action continued at the Al Shira'aa International Horse Show on Thursday, and it was Germany’s Christian Ahlmann riding the 10-year-old stallion Otterongo Alpha Z (Darco x Hedjaz) who took the biggest victory of the day when topping the CSI4*-W 1.45m Al Hawajer Equestrian Diamond Tour.

A total of 69-horse-and-rider combinations were out jumping in this class, and Ahlmann took an early lead when delivering a clear in 26.39 seconds in phase two of the competition – a time unbeatable for those that followed. France's Edward Levy finished fourth with Vitot du Chateau (Toulon x Kannan), followed by Syria's Osama Al Zabibi and Amos de St Simeon (Consul Dl Vie Z*GFE x Looping d'Elle) in fifth.
