After going to the top in Thursday's first qualification for the Mercedes German Master competition in Stuttgart, Daniel Deusser and Happiness van't Paradijs did it again in Friday's feature class -becoming Mercedes German Masters.
In front of 7.200 enthusiastic spectators, the 35-year-old German rider won the Mercedes German Master competition aboard Stephex Stables's 9-year-old mare by Obourg x Quick Lauro Z. In the jump-off, Deusser had a two seconds-margin to runner-up Maelle Martin (FRA) on Giovani de la Pomme (Shindler de Muze x Darco) and secured himself a Mercedes-Benz GLC 220 d 4MATIC worth 63.000 Euro.
Only three of the twelve Master-riders went clear over the first round track, and with eight faults in the jump-off Jan Wernke (GER) had to settle for third aboard Nashville HR (Nintender x Lifestyle). Roger Yves Bost (FRA) finished on a single time penalty in the first round and took fourth place, while Olivier Philippaerts (BEL) ended fifth with four faults from the first round.
