Edited press release from the Morocco Royal Tour
Friday's CSI4*-W 1.50m MAPM/SOREC Prix at the Morocco Royal Tour in El Jadida went to Italy's Emanuele Gaudiano and the 11-year-old Nikolaj de Music (Kannan x Nabab de Reve).
Jumping over a 1.50m course designed by Uliano Vezzani (ITA), only eight out of the thirty-three horse-and-rider combinations at start delivered a clear, with Gaudiano and Nikolaj de Music taking the win with a time of 55.44 ahead of Jessica Burke (IRL) and Express Trend (Future Trend x Condios) in second in 56.45 and Abdullah Alsharbatly (KSA) aboard Ermindo W (Singapore x Carinjo) in third in 56.80.
“I rode him today and on Sunday he'll jump the Grand Prix, so tomorrow I'll give him a break and ride Chalou's Love PS in the big class," Gaudiano said about his winning mount Nikolaj de Music. "I won the Grand Prix last year with Nikolaj and the plan is to retain that title next Sunday. This victory, along with yesterday's, obviously it makes me feel confident for next Sunday. Not counting Jaja's second place earlier in the afternoon, this edition of El Jadida is already a good show for me”.
