Karim El Zoghby stole the show in Saturday's CSI5* Estrella Damm Trophy in Madrid, riding Amellia (Cantos x Numero Uno). Fifteen of the 46 riders managed to go through the winning round in the 1.50 class, where Germany's Daniel Deusser set the time to beat at 33.01 seconds early on ridig First Class van Eckelghem (Balou Du Rouet x Feinschnitt I Vd Richter) - going into the lead.
Although it seemed quite impossible to shave the time down, Egypt's Karim El Zoghby did an extraordinary fast round on the acrobatic Amelia and stopped the clock at an incredible 31.86 seconds - pushing Deusser down to runner-up position. Third place also went to Germany, as Phillip Welshaupt and Liberty Son (Clooney x Lord Z) finished their winning round at 33.59 seconds.
