Laura Kraut of the United States earned the Leading Lady Rider Award, presented by Martha W. Jolicoeur of Douglas Elliman, at the CSI5*-W Washington International Horse Show held from October 20-26, 2025, in Upper Marlboro, MD.
The Leading Lady Rider Award is presented to the female athlete who accumulates the most points throughout the week in the international show jumping division. With a pair of eighth place finishes in Thursday evening’s CSI5*-W $63,000 Stars and Stripes Speed Final and Friday’s CSI5*-W $63,000 International Jumper Accumulator Costume Class, Kraut was in strong contention for the title. A victory in Saturday evening’s grand finale, the CSI5*-W Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Washington, presented by Maryland Sports Commission, sealed her place at the top of the standings.
In recognition of her achievement, Kraut was presented with the Martha W. Jolicoeur Leading Lady Rider title. A former Grand Prix competitor herself, Jolicoeur is now a top-ranked real estate broker with Douglas Elliman.
“Congratulations to Laura on winning the Leading Lady Rider Award at Washington,” said Jolicoeur, who is based in Wellington, FL. “She has been having a fantastic year and came out on top yet again in Washington. It’s been so much fun seeing her success and watching her move up the world rankings. I couldn’t be happier that she’s this year’s winner of the Leading Lady Rider Award.”
Kraut of Royal Palm Beach, FL, is currently ranked eighth in the Longines Rankings and is the only female in the top 10.
