Maria Gabriela Brugal Gasso (DOM) and the 13-year-old J’Adore Flamenco (Je T’Aime Flamenco x Corofino) won Saturday’s CSI4*-W 1.60m Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ in Puebla, Mexico.
The 6th qualifier in the North American League saw 22 horse-and-rider-combinations line up, with Brugal Gasso taking the win as the only clear round. Carrying two time penalties, Alejandro Mills (MEX) and Bretzel du Marais (Quaprice Bois Margot x Diamant de Semilly) took the runner-up spot, followed by Miguel Maron Kahwagi (MEX) and Cayene de Boisquillon (Jarnac x Qredo de Paulstra) in third with fourth faults in 78.66, while Ignacio Maurin (ARG) and Conchado (Conthargos x Chacco-Blue) finished fourth with four faults in 79.63 and Alberto Sanchez-Cozar (MEX) aboard Equinox de La Pomme (Vigo d’Arsouilles x Ingmar) fifth with four penalties in 80.25.
With six of the seven qualifiers in the North American League now completed, Kent Farrington (USA) leads the overall standings on equal 54 points with Daniel Bluman (ISR), while Kristen Vanderveen (USA) ranks third with 35 points.
