This week, the 2025/2026-season of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Western European League makes its 9th stop in Leipzig, Germany, where the five-star action got underway on Thursday.
The host nation’s Marvin Jüngel and the 11-year-old mare Helene 50 (Uriko x Cassini II) won Thursday’s opening five-star competition, a CSI5*-W 1.45m against the clock. Crossing the finish line in 57 seconds, Jüngel took the win ahead of Ireland’s Denis Lynch and Zensation 2 (VDL Zirocco Blue x Clarimo) in second in 57.50.
With a time of 60.77, Paula de Boer-Schwarz (GER) and Vancouver 77 (Vagabond de La Pomme x Cartani) placed third, followed by Patrick Stühlmeyer (GER) on Conterno-Blue PS (Veyron x Chacco-Blue) in fourth in 60.99 and Frederic Tillmann (GER) aboard Kurt Cobain D (Kannan x Cador) in fifth in 62.01.
