Olivier Robert won Friday night’s Massimo Dutti Trophy at CSI5*-W A Coruña. Aboard the 14-year-old gelding Eros (Querlybet Hero x Forever), the French rider took the victory with a time of 35.97 seconds in the jump-off of this 1.50m competition.
Eight out of the 37 horse-and-rider combinations made it to the jump-off after producing clears over the first-round track. Germany took care of the runner-up position thanks to Christian Kukuk and Limoncello NT (Lord Caletto x Calido I), that followed in 36.23 seconds. Belgian rider Jos Verlooy finished third with a time of 36.60 seconds aboard Igor (Emerald van't Ruytershof x Nabab de Reve), while Dutch riders Maikel and Eric van der Vleuten took care of the fourth and fifth place.
The CSI5* classes were dominated by the French, as Guillaume Foutrier won the 1.45m Engel & Völkers Trophy earlier in the day riding Tchin de la Tour (Chin Chin x Narcos II).
