After gathering 12 points today in Leipzig, at the 10th leg of Longines FEI World Cup in the Western European League, Kevin Staut (FRA) has taken over the lead of the overall standings.
With his 65 points, Staut pushed Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) – who has a total of 57 points – down to rank two. Edwina Tops-Alexander (AUS) is holding on to third position with 50 points in total, while the winner in Leipzig, Christian Ahlmann (GER) jumps into rank four on 48 points in total while Daniel Deusser (GER) sits fifth with the same amount of points.
The 18 best qualifying for the final in Paris, and with three legs left – Zürich, Bordeaux and Gothenburg – it seems the competition will be more fierce than ever. Usually an amount around 35 points has guaranteed a spot in the Top 18 – at the moment Simon Delestre (FRA) and Douglas Lindelöw (SWE) have 35 points each, sitting on rank 13 and 14 respectively.
