Ireland's Daniel Coyle and the 11-year-old Incredible (Clinton x Heartbreaker) took a home win in Thursday's CSIO5* 1.60m Cashel Palace Hotel Stakes in Dublin. "He is just getting better and better," Coyle told World of Showjumping about Incredible.

Stopping the clock on 34.91 seconds in a jump-off between eleven horse-and-rider combinations, the Irish rider took the top honours in Thursday's main competition in Dublin – that also counted for the Longines Ranking Group C.

Giulia Martinengo Marquet (ITA) and Delta Del'Isle (Tibet Tame x Graind de Soleil) took the runner-up spot with a time of 35.26, followed by Denis Lynch (IRL) and Cordial (Casall x Chicago Z) in third in 36.78. Bertram Allen (IRL) and Caprisco (Cole Porter x Arpeggio) finished fourth in 37.28, followed by McLain Ward (USA) and Contagious (Contagio x For Keeps) who had to settle for fifth after clocking the fastest time of the class – 33.26 – on the expense of a fence down.

The second CSIO5* class of the day, the 1.45m Speed Derby by Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge – a competition counting for the Longines Ranking Group D – saw another Irish rider on top of the podium with Conor Swail and the 12-year-old Theo 160 (Christian 25 x Calando IV) taking the win with a time of 81.18 seconds. Francis Derwin (IRL) and Parvati AEG (Arezzo VDL x Darco) followed in second in 81.74, while Julien Gonin (FRA) and Estrella de La Batia (Diamant de Semily x Lando) completed the top three with a time of 82.48.
