The world number one, Olympic champions, world champions, European champions, and seven out of the top ten athletes on the world ranking are all part of the star-studded field of riders for the 2025-edition of CSIO5* Jumping International de La Baule. One of seven events in the Rolex Series, the show takes place this week at the François André Stadium in La Baule, France.
Ten nations will compete in Friday's Barrière Nations Cup: Belgium, Brazil, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland and the USA will be up against host nation France. Another highlight in the schedule is of course Sunday’s Rolex Grand Prix Ville de La Baule.
Big names on the entry list include current world no. one Kent Farrington (USA), reigning European champion and Olympic vice-champion Steve Guerdat (SUI), 2012 and 2024 Olympic team gold medallist Scott Brash (GBR), 2004 Olympic champion and three-time World Cup champion Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA), reigning double world champion Henrik von Eckermann (SWE), as well as 2017 European champion Peder Fredricson, and double Olympic team champion from 2004 and 2008 McLain Ward (USA). The hosts come in full force of course, with all four Rio 2016 Olympic team gold medallists on the entry list — Kevin Staut, Roger-Yves Bost, Pénélope Leprévost and Philippe Rozier. Newly crowned French champion Nina Mallevaey – no. one on the FEI U25 ranking – will also be among the home riders competing in La Baule.
