The Irish team for the 2026 FEI Jumping World Championships in Aachen – taking place from 16-23 August – has been announced.

The squad will consist of:

• Bertram Allen with Qonquest De Rigo (Fantomas de Muze x VDL Indoctro - bred by U. Goossens, owned by Aloga Stables) 
• Darragh Kenny with Eddy Blue (Eldorado vd Zeshoek TN x Chacco-Blue - bred by Gestüt Lewitz, owned by Carol Sollak)
• Cian O’Connor with Chatolinue PS (Diablo Blanco x Stakkatol - bred by Gestüt Lewitz, owned by Karlswood Partners)
• Shane Sweetnam with James Kann Cruz (Kannan x Cruising - bred by Patrick Connolly, owned by Gizmo Partners LLC)

The following pair has been selected as the travelling reserve horse-and-rider combination:

• Denis Lynch with Vistogrand (Fantaland x Mr Visto - bred by Carron Nicol, owned by Denis Lynch and Tipperary's Finest Est.)

The following pairs have been selected as the non-travelling reserve horse-and-rider combinations:

• Daniel Coyle with Gisborne VDL (VDL Zirocco Blue x Goodtimes - bred by VDL Stud, Bears FR, owned by Ariel Grange and Daniel Coyle)
• Jordan Coyle with Chaccolino (Chacco-Blue x Heartbreaker - bred by Oaks Sport Horses and Alice Cameron, owned by Jordan Coyle and Elan Farm)

Speaking following the announcement, Horse Sport Ireland High Performance Jumping Manager Kürten said in a press release from Horse Sport Ireland: “It’s a great team of horses and riders that has grown throughout the season to develop into a strong championship contender. I’m excited to go to Aachen with outstanding riders and fantastic horses. My thanks go to their owners and their grooms, who have put so much work into this journey to the championships.”
