On Tuesday afternoon, the draw for the starting order for the first round of the Agria FEI Jumping World Championship took place in Herning, Denmark.
The starting order for the 22 nations that field teams in Herning will be as follows:
1. Mexico; 2. Spain; 3. Ireland; 4. Belgium; 5. Australia; 6. Germany; 7. The Netherlands; 8. Colombia; 9. Norway; 10. Great Britain; 11. France; 12. Brazil; 13. Italy; 14. Canada; 15. Israel; 16. Austria; 17. Argentina: 18. Switzerland; 19. Japan; 20. Denmark; 21. USA; 22. Sweden.
A total of 103 horse-and-rider combinations, including individuals, will be jumping in tomorrow's first round of the championship.
Going last of the 22 teams in the ring, Sweden – reigning Olympic Champions – got the best possible draw. It will be Peder Fredricson and H&M All In (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Andiamo Z) that close off tomorrow's opening round for the Swedes, who will be hunting the gold as one of the favourites for the title.
