World of Showjumping caught up with Swiss Chef d’Equipe Andy Kistler, who shares his experiences from the FEI World Equestrian Games in Tryon and looks forward to today’s individual final:

"It was great to be in the lead on the first and second day, with this competition that was outstanding. It was a pity to be in the best possible position ahead of the final, and then the worst happened. To end fourth was on one side hard, on the other side it was good because it means we are qualified for the Olympics so now we can plan for that. But, on Friday it was disappointment only.

When you look at the top three, all of them look very strong. Alice has been outstanding, and if she stays calm tomorrow you never know. Max Kühner is also a very experienced rider with a horse in super form and then our Martin with Clooney of course. It would not be too bad for me if we at the end of the championships would have this podium, perhaps in a bit different order.

Steve was very disappointed that he got one down on Friday, he did everything to go clear – but sometimes it happens. Now he is in 9th position but there is still the possibility that he can come back in the race. If the courses are as they have been in the past few days, making such a difference, then still a lot can happen today."
