Swiss Chef d'Equipe Peter van der Waaij is looking forward to the World Championships with confidence, and said in a press release from the Swiss Equestrian Federation: "The World Championships in Aachen are the absolute highlight of international showjumping this year – not only because it's a World Championship, but also because they're being held in Aachen. This historic venue already hosted unforgettable World Championships in 1986 and 2006. Our primary goal is clear: We want to qualify for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. To achieve this, we need to finish among the top seven nations."
