Saudi Arabia’s Abdullah Al Shartbaly has add a new, successful mount to his string of international showjumpers. Marc Bettinger’s former ride Bacardi (Balou du Rouet x Argentinus) will now be seen under Sharbatly. Last year, the now 12-year-old stallion won the prestigious Sires of the World Grand Prix during the World Championships for young horses in Lanaken.
Besides winning the Sires of the World, Bacardi and Marc Bettinger were also victorious in the CSI3* Grand Prix of Linz-Ebelsberg in 2014, the CSI3* Grand Prix of Royan, the CSI3* Grand Prix of Ciekocinko in 2015, the CSI2* Grand Prix of Vilamoura in 2015 and many other international competitions.
“Bacardi has won many Grand Prix competitions already and I expect he will win many more in the years to come”, Abdullah Al Sharbatly says about his new mount.
Over the last couple of months, Bacardi has been competing in the United States, ridden by both Lauren Tisbo and McLain Ward. This week, he will arrive in Europe again and will be ridden by Abdullah Al Sharbatly.
