Goresbridge welcomes everyone to the Supreme Sale of Showjumpers

Ard Ginger Pop 5-year-old Silver Medalist FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses 2014.

Goresbridge welcomes everyone to the second edition of the Supreme Sale of Showjumpers Ireland to be held on November 10th at Barnadown Gorey Co. Wexford // Amber Springs Hotel & Spa Gorey Co. Wexford.

Last year was a great success with a strong collection and the five-year-old Ard Ginger Pop by Luidam x Cruising headed Ireland’s auction figures for 2104 at €95.000. Enda Carroll and Carl Hanley were the successful purchasers and two weeks later, the mare claimed the silver medal at the WBSFH Championships in Lanaken under her new rider Angelica Augustsson. During this year’s championships in Lanaken Ard Ginger Pop was again placed in the final under her new rider Marlon Modolo Zanotelli.

Carroll and Hanley also purchased Talks Cheap by Tinaranas Inspector x Colin Diamond (€50,000), who soon repaid them when winning the Irish Breeders Classic over the same weekend. This year the mare secured the bronze medal at the 7-year-old WBSFH Championship.

This year’s collection

The presence of the world class Grand Prix and winning Nations Cup star Dougie Douglas (Ard Vdl Douglas x High Roller) is guaranteed to set the sale alight, as will another thirty-three lots of some of the best show jumpers that Ireland has to offer.

Standing out is one of the country’s top seven-year-olds Dekato (Upgrade x Stakkato), while featuring among the Dublin young horse winners is the much talked about six-year-old national champion Beech Hill Lucia (by Luidam). The impressive five-year-old champion and Lanaken representative RVS Lui Fortunas (Luidam x Heritage Fortunas) also holds an entry, as does the Breeders Classic four-year-old winner LSS Barbados (by Balou du Rouet).

These and other high class performers are joined by a select group of three-year-olds, but leaving one of the most interesting lots till last, the final lot offers a rare opportunity to purchase an embryo from last year’s sale topper Ard Ginger Pop. Sired by the world number two show jumping sire Cornet Oblensky this will be a fitting finale to what is sure to be a night to remember.

Veterinary Procedures:

Each horse presented for this sale will have received a full five stage veterinary examination from a member of the Goresbridge Veterinary Panel prior to the sale.

A set of digital X-rays taken by a member of the Goresbridge Panel will be available for purchasers to inspect prior to the sale.
