The Rose

A blossoming gem.

The Rose is a fine example of a modern performance horse.

She comes straight from her breeder, who ensured that she received a solid basic training programme, and she already has wins and placings in young horse classes up to 1.30m. Another highlight in The Rose’s fledgling career was a successful outing to the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf.

At international showgrounds, The Rose made a big impression by being placed in a 1.45m class at CSIYH* Münster, completing all three classes at CSI*/CSI3* Geesteren without one single fault and by notching up placings at various national and international shows in 1.40-1.45m classes. The Rose has a lot of ring experience and is ready to compete at international level.

This leggy mare has been praised in abundance for her excellent attitude, her great rideability and her amazing jump. Athletically built, eye-catching and scopey, The Rose is always careful over jumps and demonstrates lightning-fast responses in the ring. These are the special qualities that make her a one-of-a-kind horse.

Like the flower of the same name, good breeding is a must. The Rose’s pedigree unites the very best of Westphalian bloodlines. Arpeggio is a firm fixture in the Westphalian horse breeding scene that is famous as a versatile producer of top horses. His most famous offspring include Nations Cup and Grand Prix winner All Inclusive NRW (Denis Lynch), London Olympics horse Allerdings (Henrik von Eckermann), this year’s European Championship contender Amarone (Thomas Sandgaard) and Grand Prix horse Alex (Audrey Coutler).

The dam’s sire Fillis is by Warendorf state stud stallion Ferragamo, who sired many of today'’s top competition horses. Her dam, Piana, has produced six competition horses and, in 2005, she produced another licensed stallion Cum Laude, who came second in the FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Horses as a six year old and is now competing successfully at international shows. Fillis’s dam’s sire is top show jumping horse producer Pilot, who is still influential in the show jumping breeding industry today.

This rose will blossom into a top international competition horse.
