Stephex Exclusive Breeding Collection

On Wednesday 28th of August, the 2019-edition of the Brussels Stephex Masters kicks off.

New for this year's edition of the Brussels Stephex Masters is the Stephex Exclusive Breeding Collection, which will go under the hammer on Friday 30th of August.

For the very first time, Stephan Conter gives you the unique opportunity to acquire foals and embryos descending from top level Stephex mares such as Usha van’t Roosakker, Narcotique de Muze II, Espyrante and many more. Sires include top sport stallions such as Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z, Scuderia 1918 Halifax van het Kluizebos, Casall Ask, Cornet Obolensky, Emerald, Heartbreaker and Kannan.

The auction takes place on Friday 30th of August, following the CSI5* Audi Prize.

From world-class genes to world-class riders

As usual, Brussels Stephex Masters offers world-class sport, with the CSI5* competitions as the main attraction as well as the CSI3* Top Series, the CSI2* Super Cup, the CSI1* Prestige League and the Future Stars for 7- and 8-year-old horses on the program.

Highlights include Friday's CSI5* 1.55m Audi Prize that will start at 18.30, as well as Sunday's CSI5* Rolex Grand Prix presented by Audi scheduled for 13.30. Worth no less than 500,000 Euro, the Rolex Grand Prix presented by Audi will be an occasion for the riders to bring out their very best horses for a shot at the top prize.

The competition will be tough though... Confirmed riders for the CSI5* competitions include world no. one Steve Guerdat (SUI), Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen-winner Kent Farrington (USA), Stephex Stables' very own Daniel Deusser (GER) and Lorenzo De Luca (ITA), Marcus Ehning (GER) – last year's Rolex Grand Prix winner at Brussels Stephex Masters, Darragh Kenny (IRL) – this year's Rolex Grand Prix winner at Knokke Hippique, as well as Olympic gold medalists such as Eric Lamaze (CAN), Scott Brash (GBR), Kevin Staut (FRA) and Laura Kraut (USA).

The home riders come strong in force too with Gregory Wathelet (BEL), Pieter Devos (BEL), Jérôme Guery (BEL), Jos Verlooy (BEL), Niels Bruynseels (BEL) as well as Olivier Philippaerts (BEL) all ready for the Brussels Stephex Masters.

Many of the riders come fresh from the European Championships in Rotterdam, perhaps with a medal in their suitcase. After all, the Brussels Stephex Masters is Home of the Champions.

As always, there is free entry for the public at the Brussels Stephex Masters.
