Coming Monday 3rd of February, Foal Auction Prinsjesdag will auction six highly exclusive embryos through the new online auction platform Prinsjesdag Online. From 08:00 P.M. CET, Prinsjesdag Online will start with the live auction at www.prinsjesdagonline.eu. The collection includes embryos sired by among others Emerald, Chacco Blue and Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z out of world’s most successful damlines: out of a daughter of Niels Bruynseels’ Ilusionata van ‘t Meulenhof, out of the Usha van ‘t Roosakker family, closely related to Itot du Chateau or out of HH Ciske van Overis’ daughter.

Prinsjesdag Online will auction the six embryos through a new format: a live online auction. Not the traditionally online clock, but an auctioneer will sell the embryos one by one through the Prinsjesdag Online / WeAuction webpage. By clicking on this link you can easily register yourself for the online biddings.

Grandson or –daughter of HH Ciske van Overis

The first embryo is a son or daughter by Emerald out of Floortje van Overis – a direct daughter of Grand Prix showjumping mare HH Ciske van Overis. Dam Floortje van Overis jumped successfully with Great Britain’s Laura Renwick and is a daughter of the legendary For Pleasure. Ridden by Edwina Tops-Alexander, HH Ciske van Overis was among world’s most successful showjumpers and later on continued her career at the Double H Farm in the USA.

With the second embryo, Prinsjesdag Online also includes a son or daughter of the famous world no. 1 Chacco Blue. This embryo was bred out of Grand Cru van ‘t Hagenhof, who already produced three international showjumpers and is a daughter of Babbe van ‘t Roosakker. Ridden by Michel Hecart and Cara Raether, Babbe van ‘t Roosakker competed successfully at Grand Prix-level, but she is mostly famous for her results in breeding. Babbe is the dam of Erco van ‘t Roosakker (1.60m, Daniel Deusser & Lorenzo de Luca), Dulhan de la Roque (1.60m, Reynald Angot), Giorgio van ‘t Hagenhof (1.60m, Caitlin Creel) and Geena (1.55m, Janika Sprunger) and in addition, Babbe’s dam is the world-famous Usha van ‘t Roosakker – one of world’s leading broodmares.

Embryo no. 3 is sired by Lorenzo de Luca’s Grand Prix winner Scuderia 1918 Halifax out of international showjumping mare Jolly Girl van ‘t Roosakker, sired by Kashmir van Schuttershof. Jolly Girl’s dam is the incredible Grand Pix showjumper Electra van ‘t Roosakker – a superstar with both Jos Lansink and Janika Sprunger. Besides her successful sports career, Electra van ‘t Roosakker also turned out to be a fantastic broodmare, producing numerous international showjumpers, including Kent Farrington’s rising star Kaprice van ‘t Roosakker.

Ilusionata van ‘t Meulenhof is this embryo’s granddam

The fourth embryo is definitely one of the highlights of this collection; sired by Daniel Deusser’s Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z out of a direct daughter of Niels Bruynseels’ Grand Prix mare Ilusionata van ‘t Meulenhof. In the CSI5* Grand Prix of Basel, Ilusionata van ‘t Meulenhof finished in 3rd place recently and caught the eye with her unbelievable reflexes and spectacular jumping technique. In addition, Ilusionata is a half-sister to the world-famous stallion Emerald – Olympic showjumper with Harrie Smolders and one of the up- and-coming sires in showjumping.

Sired by Conthargos, closely related to Itot du Chateau

Embryo no. 5 deserves some special attention as well; this embryo is sired by the great Conthargos – after Chacco Blue, Paul Schockemöhle’s most successful stallion. The fifth embryo combines Conthargos with a direct daughter of Janika Sprunger’s successful mare Egie of Colors. Besides her performances at Grand Prix-level, Egie of Colors also produced numerous successful showjumpers herself. Egie’s dam Ligie is one of the most successful broodmares of all-time, producing no less than six Grand Prix-showjumpers, including Demi van Grunsven’s Tinka’s Hope, Doda de Miranda’s Chow Chow of Colors, Claire Putters’ Copain de Muze and Cassio Rivetti’s Kerbie V.V. This originally French damline also produced Edwina Tops-Alexander’s legendary Itot du Chateau.

Half-brother or –sister to Darry Lou and Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z

Last but not least is the sixth embryo – a half-brother or -sister of Beezie Madden’s Darry Lou and Daniel Deusser’s Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z. This embryo is sired by the great Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve out of a daughter of Lorenzo de Luca’s super talent George Z. The granddam of embryo no. 6 produced the extremely talented Zangersheide stallion Dourkhan Hero Z and this pedigree goes back to the world-famous damline of Usha van ‘t Roosakker. Another diamond in the rough with high hopes for the future.
