The 18th edition of the Dutch Sport Horse Sales is scheduled for the 27th of September at the Peelbergen Equestrian Centre in Kronenberg (NL). A very fine collection of 21 four- till seven-year-old showjumpers is selected by the Hendrix family and Yves Houtackers. This collection includes offspring of stallions like Baltic VDL, Elvis ter Putte, Cape Coral RBF Z, Cardento and Kannan. It will be a matter of time before these DSHS references are going to perform at Grand Prix level.

After years of training and selection, the Dutch Sport Horse Sales team has chosen 21 jumping talents for its new collection. Most horses are trained in the proven Stal Hendrix system and thus a solid foundation has been laid for their further future. The 18th edition of this auction follows after a record-breaking edition in 2021, in which the Vigo d'Arsouilles son Viper Z was sold for 750,000 euros.

Great potential

First class future talents are selected for this auction. Such as the five-years-old Manchester (Grand Slam VDL x Chello III VDL). “This very promising gelding stands out with his quick reflexes, unlimited scope and carefulness. He seems to have everything it takes to perform at top level in the future”, tells Michel Hendrix. This son of Marlon Modolo Zanotelli’s Grand Prix performer Grand Slam VDL represents the well-known Minka family on the dam’s side and is a grandson of the international 1.45m level performing mare Esminka (Remco Been).

From Stal Hendrix’s own breeding program comes the spectacular Limited Edition HX (Cape Coral RBF Z x Cumano), who is a son of the Grand Prix showjumping mare Skara Glen’s Naiky d’Elca (Abdel Saïd, Candice King). “We have high expectations of this grey gelding. This six-year-old horse is very scopey and is what we call a true ‘clear-round-machine’. He is one of the horses out of this collection that can definitely grow into a top level performer, following in the footsteps of his relatives.

Another highlight is the mighty Zambesi-offspring Khaleesi (ds.Namelus R), one of the four seven-year-old horses in this auction. Just like most other horses, this gelding has already performed in international classes. “Khaleesi combines excellent rideability with a fantastic attitude and jumping technique. He shows a lot of scope and jumped his first national 1.45m course last summer with great ease.”
