It’s almost time for the special jumping horse auction announced by Nations Cup rider Holger Hetzel back in April. The 13 talented jumping horses in the auction collection, aged between four and twelve, have been on the Hetzel website at www.holger-hetzel.de since 6 May. They all have competition results ranging from novice class wins to two-star Grand Prix placings. Try-outs at Holger Hetzel’s training centre in Goch can be arranged by telephone in the week starting 13 May.

Potential buyers can bid for their favourites between 5 and 9 pm on the online auction day, 18 May. The innovative aspect of this auction is that it has a maximum price limit similar to the one used in the successful eBay business model. The first bidder to offer the maximum price of EUR 100,000 is automatically the new owner. If nobody bids the maximum price, the horse goes to the person who put in the highest bid at the end of the auction. Access to the online auction is very simple and free of charge. All potential buyers and bidders have to do is register at Hetzel Trading GmbH’s online partner's website at holger-hetzel.weauction.nl/register.

The recent Maimarkt show in Mannheim delivered impressive proof that Holger Hetzel’s horses are in a class of their own. All of his former auction horses competing in the international youngster class at Manheim went clear. Hetzel obviously has an instinctive ability to recognise good quality horses.
