The auction sale will be held on September 8th, and video footage of the 73 auction lots is already available for online access on www.holsteiner-verband.de and through ClipMyHorse. Young Holsteiner talents on offer include offspring by long-established top sires same as foals by young and developing stallions.

No less than 13 foals by Casall (by Caretino), the Holsteiner studbook’s figurehead, have been selected for the exquisite Elmshorn elite foal auction. But that’s not all, as Holstein has a lot more to offer. The line-up includes a wide variety of bloodlines, ranging from Cascadello I, Diarado, Ogano Sitte, I’m Special de Muze and for example Kannan to Van Gogh, Colman, Livello as well as younger stallions like Million Dollar, Unlimited, Catch and Brantzau.

And in line with good Holsteiner custom, not only the sires are special, but also the dams and second dams are of excellent quality. They have either produced graded stallions or international sport horses or boast exceptional own performance - performance being the keyword for a successful horse breeding association like the one from the land between the seas.

Take for example the colt by current Holsteiner 3-year-old riding horse champion, Clarksville. His 3rd dam is no other than legendary Caletta VIII (by Lord), dam to international showjumpers H&M Chilli Willi (Nicola Philippaerts) and Camiro (Tony Andrè Hansen).

Or the Casall colt out of a Cassini II-Landadel dam. The Landadel daughter in question has already produced several graded stallions, including Quintender and Quidam’s Adel. And even though Holstein is one of the most successful jumper studbooks, every once a while horses displaying excellent movement will come from the far north as well.

This auction selection comprises a very special dressage aspirant, a daughter of hanovarian stallion Quantensprung. Not only does the young chestnut filly display above-average movement, but she also boasts a high-profile dam, Don Primero daughter Devil’s Bride OLD. Before she was put to stud, she was crowned German Young Horse Champion and went on to win dressage tests at Intermediaire II level.

The Holsteiner foal auction sale has been arranged in a new and different way this year: All foals are auctioned at Elmshorn.

The presentation of the colts starts at 10:00 am, with the auction of the colts scheduled at 1:00 pm, whereas the fillies have their first public appearance when their presentation kicks off at 3:45 pm, with the start of the filly auction scheduled at around 6:00 pm.

Moreover, in addition to the auction, the attractive programme includes two guided tours of the Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH stallion stable, a bouncy castle for our youngest visitors and a variety of culinary delights. Not to forget the shopping fans, who are catered to, as well.

You’re interested? Than come and join us at Elmshorn on 8 September - alternatively you may also opt to do the bidding for the foal of your dreams by telephone.
