Performance, that is what it’s all about these days. Performance genes on sire’s and dam’s side make this collection especially interesting. The KWPN Select Sale has proven that they have selected the best stallions in this prestigious auction with the view on breeding and sports. One of the many top horses sold through the KWPN Select Sale is VDL Groep Zidane of Leopold van Asten jumped on the highest level for years and performed for the Dutch colors on many occasions. Also the stallion Bustique, who proved to possess a lot of jumping quality and also passes this on to his offspring, was sold through the KWPN Select Sale as a young stallion. Do you want to make sure you own a young talent? View the collection and take your chances in the 20th edition of the KWPN Select Sale at the biggest stallion selection in the world: the KWPN Stallion Show!

Marillion V&V comes from a very special dam line, this dam line gave the European and world champion Zenith! Who doesn’t know him? For years he was successful with Jeroen Dubbeldam. At the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro they ended just outside of the jump-off on 0,02 seconds, and eventually earned an individual 7th place. The dam of Marillion V&V also gave the international 1.40m horses Fortissimo (s.Padinus) and Allegro (s.Kojak) besides Zenith. She is also a half-sister to Rockfeller (s.Larino), who performs on 1.50m level in the United States. The sire of this interesting Marillion V&V is the Douglas son Dallas VDL, who shows to have the right qualities by performing on 1.55m level.

Closely related to Bonne Chance CW

What do you think of four 1.60m stallions in a row in the pedigree: Cicero Z van Paemel, Grand Pilot I, Calvados and Concorde? Then add to this that Chaperon RV Z comes from the dam line of Grand Prix mare Bonne Chance CW (s.Baloubet du Rouet) of Janika Sprunger, and you have a potential top show jumper! The excellent jumping Mister Sonderbygaard (s.Hardwell) also possesses some interesting performance genes. His dam is the full sister to the Zangersheide approved 1.60m stallion Cosun of René Tebbel and a half-sister to the 1.50m horse Eumosa (s.Vittorio).

Five times 1.60m

Risque-Tout 55 adds a little extra. With as much as five 1.60m stallions in a row, there is no doubt that scope is anchored in his pedigree. The sire of this stallion is no one less than the show jumper producer Diamant de Semilly, followed by Toulon, Darco, Kannan and Chin Chin. Risque-Tout 55’s dam Jes van ‘t Hoogeinde (s.Toulon) has proven herself on 1.40m level, granddam Geena (s.Darco) jumped on 1.55m level, great-granddam Babbe van ‘t Roosakker (s.Kannan) has jumped on the highest level just like her dam Usha van ‘t Roosakker (s.Chin Chin). This dam line already gave multiple horses that jump successful on the highest level. Such as the 1.60m horse Cella (s.Cento) of Ben Maher out of Usha van ‘t Roosakker, just like the 1.60m horses Emperio van ’t Roosakker (s.Nabab de Reve) and Equador van ’t Roosakker (s.Nabab de Reve).

Olympic influences

Also the selected auction stallions Monaco Baraka, For Ever and Matcho-R-Des Fontaines are of interesting origin as they all have sires who have proven themselves on Olympic level! The preferent Berlin is the sire of Monaco Baraka and has already given many Grand Prix horses, such as H&M Extra who currently performs very well with Olivier Philippaerts. For Ever is a direct son of Grand Prix producer and Olympic stallion For Pleasure. This bloodmade For Ever has the Cassini I daughter Viola XXIII as his dam. She already gave the 1.45m horse Quisito 2 (s.Quidam de Revel) and the international 1.40m horses Margot 8 (s.Quidam de Revel) and Diamond (s.Diamant de Semilly). Matcho-R-Des Fontaines directly impresses on dam’s side with the international 1.60m horse Escapade H (s.Vingino) of the Irish Trevor Breen as his half-brother. His dam is a half-sister to the international 1.40m horse Allure (s.Riverman). That combined with the Olympic stallion Jumpy des Fontaines, a son of Olympic champion Jus de Pomme, on sire’s side makes him genetically very interesting.

Strong dam lines

Two strong dam lines come together in this Meilleur Tarpania. Comme Il Faut, who earned an individual fifth place and a silver medal with the team at the European Championships in Rotterdam, is the result of Cornet Obolensky combined with the Olympic mare Ratina Z. This top stallion is combined with a half-sister of the KWPN approved stallion Carrera (s.Larino), who jumped on 1.55m level with Willem Greve, and that gave Meilleur Tarpania.
