KWPN selected & Zangersheide approved Like Ermitage WS KCX to Waaij Stud & Karel Cox Horses

The striking 3-year-old stallion Like Ermitage WS KCX has passed into the ownership of Waaij Stud and Karel Cox Horses after the KWPN Stallion Show. Bred out of the Grand Prix mare Cacacha van het Schaeck, the Ermitage Kalone son is the half-brother of CSI5* Grand Prix winner Like A Diamond van het Schaeck. The talented stallion was born as Edinburgh Optimus Z and has now been renamed Like Ermitage WS KCX. He will be available with fresh semen this breeding season. "Like Ermitage WS KCX was one of the most modern and striking stallions of the KWPN Stallion Show and with this pedigree he is very interesting from a breeding point of view as well," said Peter van der Waaij.

At the KWPN Stallion Show, Like Ermitage WS KCX received an invitation for the KWPN Performance Test and from Studbook Zangersheide he already received his approval. This makes Like Ermitage WS KCX one of the few approved sons of Belgian champion Ermitage Kalone on Dutch soil. "Ermitage Kalone is obviously a stallion of outer category, both in sport and breeding. With Ermitage Kalone himself concentrating mainly on the sport, his son Like Ermitage WS KCX is a very interesting option for breeding," emphasizes Peter van der Waaij. Like Ermitage WS KCX is bred out of one of the very best damlines in Europe.

Half-brother of 1.60m winner Like A Diamond van het Schaeck

Dam Cacacha van het Schaeck herself jumped at 1.60m level with Max Sebrechts and is already dam of Like A Diamond van het Schaeck. Ridden by Marlon Zanotelli, Like A Diamond won for example the Paris Global Champions Tour Grand Prix. Granddam Fortis Fortuna was extremely successful at the highest level with Daniel Coyle and produced, among others, the world-famous showjumper H5 Just The Music ridden by both Gudrun Patteet and Carlos Hank Guerreiro.

Third dam Coco van 't Laerhof Z produced the 1.60m showjumper E-Muze Yek and is the sister of Funky Music, Quarts-Musik and Krapuul F. Furthermore, top international showjumpers such as El Torreo de Muze, Sea Coast B52 F Z, Bretling du Paradis Z and Esprit d'Intro Z are all very closely related to Like Ermitage WS KCX.
