THIS year’s Liverpool International Horse Show will see new five star stabling for the competition horses and excellent car parking for visitors as the organising team get set to welcome leading riders from all over the world.

Additions for the 2018 event include a great new stabling facility indoors in the new Exhibition Centre at the Echo Arena as well as extensive temporary car parking following last year’s fire. The stabling area will include a new meeting area with catering, and can accommodate all National and International horses.

Taking place from December 28 to 31, the show combines world-class sport with live music and spectacular family entertainment.

Said Show President, Nina Barbour: “We are delighted to reassure all competitors and spectators that the new stabling and car parking arrangements will help provide a great experience whether competing at the show or visiting to enjoy the brilliant entertainment and equestrian sport.”

For 2018, the Liverpool International Horse Show has a programme of CSI4*/Am show jumping, climaxing with the Liverpool International Grand Prix on Monday, December 31, with a prize fund of 75,000 Euros (around £65,400), plus an additional 4 Longines Ranking classes over the weekend.

Packages are now available for Amateur riders who would like to compete in the CSI Am series during the event at 1.15m or 1.25m level. National riders can also apply to enter the U25 class.

Along with the very best show jumping and dressage action, the event will also include live music from Rick Parfitt Junior and the RPJ Band, who will be ramping up the atmosphere as it gets closer to midnight and counting down to a spectacular show with indoor fireworks and lots of surprises as the clock strikes 12!

There’s also the ‘Grand National’ of Shetland ponies and a breath-taking display from the Arenacross Freestyle Motocross crew to enjoy.

If that’s not all, Frenchman Gilles Fortier and his dramatic team of stunt riders and horses will be delivering a world premier of his new ‘Phoenix’ act, showcasing an emotive collection of equestrian art, acrobatics and fire performers.

On New Year’s Eve, there’s more equestrian action with the ‘Battle of the Sexes’ Knockout, involving riders racing against each other over two sets of mirror image fences.

The Liverpool International Horse Show will be the finale to Liverpool 2018, which is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Liverpool’s triumphant tenure as European Capital of Culture in 2008,

At the heart of the shopping village, the Champagne Bar will once again be located next to the Equitop-Myoplast Warm-Up Arena allowing you to get close up and personal to the shows leading horses and riders before they perform.

All evening tickets purchased for Monday, December 31 INCLUDE access to the Shopping Village (with more than 80 equestrian and lifestyle outlets) and onsite restaurants from 9am, and unallocated seating is available during the day to watch the action from the Amateur and Pony Show jumping Finals. Tickets also give access to the Champagne Bar in Hall Two.
